CD-ROM Drive Does Not Open

The common symptoms are that the CD-ROM LED keeps blinking but CD Drive won’t open, after that the CD-ROM LED will stop blinking, nothing happens. This is due to the failure of “push button” (over used) and also might be due to the failure of the CD-ROM belt which can get tighten or harden.

The best idea is to buy a new CD-ROM drive as now days these are very cheap and getting the same repaired is equally expensive, also the repaired CD-ROM drive does not work longer and fails in few days. So it’s better to buy a new one.
